Popular Prestige Checking is an interest-earning account, where interest is compounded daily and credited to your account monthly. If you close your account before interest is credited, you will not receive the accrued interest.
To open a new Popular Bank personal checking account, you will need a valid state or federal photo ID, Social Security Number, full mailing address, and date of birth.

Popular Prestige Checking account holders can have their $12 monthly service fee waived by maintaining an average monthly balance6 of $2,000 or more in the account.
With a Popular Prestige Checking account, no fees will be charged for overdrafts up to $50 , nor for any declined transactions. A $34 fee will be charged when an overdraft transaction is paid and is greater than $50. No, Popular Bank will not charge Popular Prestige Checking account holders a fee when using an ATM that does not belong to Popular Bank or outside the Allpoint network.3 As a Popular Prestige Checking account holder, Popular Bank will also refund up to $15 per monthly statement cycle for fees assessed by other entities.
