To open a new account, visit your local Popular branch or click here to open your account online. Find your nearest branch using our branch locator.
To change your name on your accounts, please take an updated photo ID and any supporting documents (i.e., marriage certificate, divorce, or other court orders) to your nearest Popular branch so that your signature card may be updated.
If you access your accounts through Popular Online Banking, simply sign on, select the Personal Information tab, and select Telephone and Address. If you do not access your accounts through Popular Online Banking, please call us at 1-800-377-0800 to change the address on your accounts.
To add another person to your account, both you and the new co-signer must visit a local Popular branch so that your signature card can be updated. To remove a co-signer from a joint account, you will need to close the joint account and open a new account. To do this, please visit any one of our branch locations.
If you're moving, your accounts can move with you. Click Branches and ATMs to find a branch near you, or contact us to learn about how we can help you move your accounts. If you're sure you want to close your Popular checking, savings, or money market accounts you can either call our Customer Care Center at 1-800-377-0800 or visit your local Popular branch.

Yes. However, you can always visit one of our branches to open an account if you are not a resident of the U.S.
Popular Online and Mobile Banking services utilize best practices such as HTTPS, 128-bit SSL encryption, password access and application time-out, where applicable. In addition, no account information is stored on your computer or phone. In the event your device or log-in credentials are lost or stolen, the service can be immediately disabled by calling us at 1-800-274-5696.
